Eleanor, the Artist

Name: Eleanor, the Artist

Race: Human

Face: Eleanor's rounded face has high cheekbones, dark brown eyes, and is always carefully made up.

Hair: She has dyed her long, full hair indigo.  Part of it is always falling over her right eye.  She occasionally blows on it, but it falls right back.  

Body: Eleanor's body is on the curvy side, as far as anyone knows.  More below.

Clothes: Eleanor is always perfectly made up and dressed in fairly fine clothes, in spite of her work ostensibly dealing with messy paint.  She actually seems to disdain mess of any kind, and prides herself in a perfect appearance.

Bio: Eleanor recently arrived from a nearby country.  Someone must have had a vendetta against her, because she was arrested on charges of espionage, and sentenced to the arena.  People who have met her have a hard time believing the charges.  She is either the greatest spy anyone has ever met, or the charges are false, because she is not spy-like in the least.

Eleanor is intelligent, but a little absent-minded, always dreaming of somewhere other than the place she is.  Her paintings have an extraordinary ability to transport the viewer to the location in her imagination.  That is in part due to artistic skill, and in part due to the fact that she has mastered the art of illusion magic.

Eleanor uses some illusion magic to make her body seem a little less chubby and saggy than it actually is.  Those looking at her see her real face and hair, and something resembling her body, just tightened up the way she would "improve" on a subject of one of her portraits.  Such paintings are a much-sought-after commodity where she is from.  She's rumored to have even painted the queen of her land.  The portrait was sublimely beautiful, but was stolen and replaced by an unflattering view of the queen in the nude.  It was hanging in public for nearly a week because everyone was too afraid to bring it to the queen's attention, lest she punish the messenger.  Eleanor disappeared from her homeland shortly after her original painting was stolen.  

Eleanor wields a special magic brush that she uses to do her paintings.  It is infused the same way a mage's wand might be.  Without it, her powers would be considerably weaker (-2 to INT and CHR rolls, and her personal glamour spell becomes too difficult keep up).  Those who have spoken to her in private find her to be kind nearly to a fault, but a bit disillusioned.  She is melancholic, and may have had her heart broken sometime in the last few years.

Skills:

Distraction--With a successful intelligence roll, she can create an illusive environment where her opponent believes they are where they much long to be.  If she beats her opponent's roll by 2, she can also create the illusion of the person the opponent would most like to be with.  No one else will see this, but the opponent will act as if they are in that place with that person, and ignore their actual location and the people around them as if they are not there.  The victim should roll each round to break the illusion.

Run Like Paint--With a wave of the brush, Eleanor can have you believing she is somewhere else, while she makes her escape, or hides in ambush.  Again, an Intelligence check is used.

Get them off me!--Eleanor can conjure an illusion of what you most fear.  Specifically, she might convince her opponent that her articles of clothing are something they fear, causing them to remove them.

Sympathy for the Devil--Although she complains about how much people have let her down, Eleanor is a sympathetic person.  She cares greatly for all living things around her, and somehow falls harder for those whose morals don't match her own.  She believes she can help them change, and be better people.  This sometimes leads her into traps of her own making.
