Alanna the "Unlikely"

The majority of arena opponents are skilled magic users, warriors, criminals, and other people you'd expect to want, or be forced, into fighting in the arena. Alanna is none of these things. Looking at her, Alanna draws immediate "aww"s at her adorable, unlikely appearance. She's short, no more than five feet tall, with baggy wizard robes of a light blue color that hide her youthful body. Having been admitted, at some point, to train for the Queen's royal guard, she must've been at least eighteen, though it was hard to tell due to her large emerald eyes and youthful smile. Her fair skin flushes easily on her round, soft features at the slightest compliment or embarrassing situation, and her straight brunette hair is kept in a bouncy ponytail, to add to her youthful appearance. To top off her bookish, nervous appearance, she sports large glasses on her face (without which she has great difficulty seeing) with which she is always fidgeting or adjusting.

Beneath those robes she wears layers. She's extremely self conscious about her curves, and her lack of curves in other areas. Even with the baggy clothing one can tell she doesn't have a well-endowed chest, though the way the cloth falls down her back suggests a curvy, plump rear comprised of jiggly baby fat.

So, how did such an adorable, timid creature end up in the arena? That's a subject of some speculation and mystery. She was a promising mage at Enferia's academy, having caught Syndra's eye personally, so the rumors say. Officially, Alanna has broken some serious rules at her institute of learning; perhaps she was dabbling with some dark magics, or perhaps was too eager to gain power. Why anyone would fear such an unassuming girl is still unknown for now. Though, one of the most compelling rumors suggests she was secretly spending time with a certain Grey Witch...

Traits? Abilities?

Alanna is a well educated, analytical, and very intelligent young woman, versed in all sorts of apprentice-level magics. Before she was sentenced to the arena, she had already become a master of cantrips and low level trickery, making her a versatile, if weak, foe. Whatever areas she may be lacking in, Alanna is ready to supplement her defenses with a variety of spells. Also, since she's trained in the idea that all things are made up of smaller things woven together, Alanna has a surprisingly good eye when it comes to spotting weaknesses in objects, structures, or even people.

The darker rumors, the ones that suggest she was dabbling in things she shouldn't have, imply pretty heavily that some great, ominous being has granted her favor. Whether some demon, fae spirit, or even deity is watching and helping her from afar is as yet unknown, though there has to be something more to this girl, everyone seems to agree.
