Halia, at the bar Empty Halia, at the bar

Post by cerindclvr Sat Jul 19, 2014 7:05 am

It was a late night at the Ripped Bodice, and Halia was deep into the cup. She was sitting by her lonesome on a barstool, her brown boots kicking slowly beneath her. With her legs dangling she leaned back in the seat, chugging something from a heavy-looking mug and looking around at the room. With a little yawn, covered by her hand, she gave a languid stretch.

With some dismay she glanced down at her beverage, or lack thereof. Tilting the mug almost upside down for the last bits of her drink, Halia frowned, set the mug down, and and checked her coin purse.

"Ahem, bartender..? I seem to have left my funds... somewhere else. You can put the next drink on my tab, right?" she grinned sweetly. Frowning suddenly at the bartender's unreceptive response, she sat back in her chair, grumbling.

"It's not like I'm a semi-famous arena combatant or anything," she murmured sarcastically, sighing and glancing around once again.

"Should I have seen you there?" Alison inquired, walking up to the bar and taking the stool next to Halia. After ordering a drink, she continued, "Or would you rather me not have, considering what happens to some fighters?"

"Wha?" Halia turned, a little surprised, and grinned. "Oh, the bartender and I had a bit of a disagreement. I told her I was good for another drink, and she disagreed."

Halia sighed and shook her empty mug with a look of disappointment. As if hearing the question a few seconds after Alison asked, she quirked a brow and pursed her thick little cherry mouth thoughtfully.

"Hmm... I guess it would depend on which match you saw, hehe..." she giggled as a blush came over her fair cheeks, and her eyes went up as if she was recalling her stint in the arena. "Win some, lose some, you know?"

"I actually don't frequent the Arena very often. Care to divulge any details?" the freelancer asked, taking a sip of her drink. "I'm Alison, by the way."

"Alison, eh?" she said with a chipper voice. "Well met. I'm Halia."

She extended a gloved hand to shake hers. "I suppose I might be plied into telling you some of my exploits..." she said with mock haughtiness. "If, perhaps, you were to fill this cup with something strong," she added with a sheepish grin.

"And a pleasure to meet you," she replied as she returned the handshake. "I suppose I could help you out this one time, but only this once. My funds are a bit more limited than I'd like, and I'd not make a habit of giving drinks to strangers."

"Excellent!" she beamed, gesturing to the bartender.  "What kind of story would you like to hear first?" she said with a slight grin and... was that a flirtatious eye? She seemed pretty lax, leaned against the bar as she was, empty cup outstretched and a bit of thigh showing from beneath the skirt of her tunic.

"Bartender, this lady's next drink is on me," Alison said, flashing a bit of coin to show her word was good. Turning her attention to the half-elf with a quick glance downward, Alison stopped to reconsider. "Actually, we can save the story for later. For now," Alison placed her hand over Halia's, "I'd like to get to know you a bit better."

Halia's eyes nervously, but excitedly glanced at the hand for a second. Giving her lower lip a little bit of a nibble, she quickly scooped up her drink and took a large gulp, nodding in thanks to the bartender. Turning back to Alison, she grinned and raised her cup to her.

"Thanks!" she chirped, coming off rather innocent despite her posture and attire. "I'd like to know you better too."

Alison seemed to lose focus for a moment, but she took a sip of her drink and seemed to recover shortly afterwards. "Well, with me there's really not much to tell. I work as a mercenary and, though I think I'm good, I haven't had any work in a while. That's about it, really."

Halia rolled her shoulders as she listened to the woman, her eyes looking her over from head to toe with quick glances every once in a while. Sipping her ale, she went back to swinging her feet idly, nodding as Alison spoke.

"You have the... build of a warrior, that's for sure. It's admirable. I can never quite get the tone I'm looking for," she laughed, curling her mug up in one arm to imitate flexing her bicep, only to nearly spill the drink on herself.

"Oh!" she giggled, touching the splash of liquid that sloshed out of the cup and onto her tunic. "Damn. I promise I am not that drunk. But do go on? Is that all?" she smiled. "Then where shall I begin..?"

Alison couldn't help but giggle at the half-elf's misfortune. "Well, this body is a lot of work and not all it's cracked up to be. So far as your tale, you could start with your profession. Semi-famous arena combatant can't pay too well," she joked, while putting her own drink on the bar, just to be safe.

Halia chuckled at herself and took a swig from her mug. "What's not all it's cracked up to be...? That body?" she giggled, poking Alison once in the abdomen.

"Ooh, I knew it. Like steel," she tittered. "And, well... the arena..." she took another swig.

"It pays OK," she began, canting her head. "I do odd jobs other times to make ends meet."

"Alright, so I lied about the worth of my body, but I'm sure a body like yours can be just as much fun," Alison responded, poking Halia right back. She picked her drink back up and took a gulp.

"Any descriptions for these odd jobs, or should we take a new line of conversation?"

"What do you mean, 'fun'?" Halia let out another melodic little giggle and coquettishly swatted Alison's hand away from her own softer midsection.

"Don't do that!" she laughed, clutching her tummy defensively with one hand. She was blushing a little and had the cautious look of a ticklish person. Eventually the half elf composed herself and smoothed out her tunic. "Hmm, let's seeee..." she quirked her brow and looked up again in recollection.

"Ooh, I can talk about some of them. I occasionally reacquire lost goods or artifacts for people. I guess that makes me a kind of adventurer, at times. You ever do anything you'd describe that way?"

Alison laughed with Halia. "Alright, I'll stop," she responded before playfully adding, "for now." After staring dreamily at the half-elf while she talked, Alison got a sort of far-off look in her eye.

"Well, I'll do just about any thing for the right price, so I have had a few jobs like that. The people who hire me usually have me work as an escort or bodyguard, though. It's not quite as glamorous work, but it pays. Usually."

The girl leaned forward a bit, her wide eyes indicating her interest. She seemed to incidentally put a hand on Alison's knee as she spoke.

"No, I bet you have some interesting stories from at least one of those jobs. Maybe someone tried something once?" she quirked a brow. "...and what do you mean 'usually?'" she giggled. "Do they forget to pay you sometimes..?"

Apparently, for now, the girl could drink like a fish. She must've nearly downed half the mug of whatever the strong-smelling booze was. When her legs picked up to prop her feet up on the stool next to her, a significantly larger expanse of fair skin was showing on her soft thighs.

"Well by 'usually,' I just mean that work has been slow recently," Alison replied, welcoming the redhead's approach.

"But, before I go on," she looked accusingly at the half-elf, "don't you owe me one story from the arena?"

Halia perked up. "Oh!" she nodded, her pigtails bobbing. After a moment of thought, she blushed fiercely and clutched her mug to her chest.

"Well, there are a couple of stories... some, yeah, are kind of embarrassing. Have you been to the arena before? Seen a match..?" she bit her lower lip for a second. "It sounded like you knew what goes on there. 'Cuz I could either tell you about a time I won... or a time I lost."

"I am familiar with the workings of the arena, I have seen a few matches, none featuring you, and I'll offer you a deal: I'll match your story," Alison leaned forward now, one of her hands on one of Halia's legs.

"You tell me about a time you won, I'll tell you about a job that went better than planned. Tell me about your loss, I'll tell you a tale that didn't end well for me."

Halia, at the bar Empty Re: Halia, at the bar

"Hmm..." Halia began, searching her mind and easing a little lower into her chair. Her thigh was smooth beneath Alison's hand, though goosebumps quickly rose on her skin. "Uhm..." she thought for a moment, out loud, her heart secretly catching in her chest.

"Well, there was this one time that I lost," she said, rolling her eyes at the memory. "I actually had my opponent stripped down to her knickers. This was back during one of my voluntary matches; I was set to make some decent pay for the win, and I'd also bet a substantial amount on myself!" she hiccuped, downing another gulp of her drink and cringing slightly.

"Anyway, I've still got my tunic on, but some sort of nonsense sorcery she cast on me turned my undergarments into water. So, you can imagine what this thing is like on me when it's soaking wet and I haven't a stitch of clothing beneath it..!" she giggled, her cheeks still a healthy reddish color.

"All I have to do is get her out of her panties," she continued loudly, unaware or uncaring of how she sounded at this point. "So I grab my knife and go to swipe them off. Only... I fumble the blade a bit and take a huuuge chunk out of my own belt. It falls, pretty much instantly, and this sorceress... well she takes the opportunity to hit me with a gust of wind. A real powerful one. It takes my tunic right up and off of me. I beat myself, basically...!" she rolled her eyes as if she still couldn't believe it. "As if that wasn't bad enough, she had me running laps around the arena in nothing but these boots," she said, raising one and tapping it with her hand for emphasis. With her legs up on the adjacent bar stool, the observant eye would catch a glimpse of light green satin panties beneath the tunic.

Halia, at the bar Empty Re: Halia, at the bar

Post by westley24 Mon Jul 21, 2014 5:42 am

Alison listened intently to Halia's story, her face flushing a bit as the story progressed. "I certainly regret now seeing that match. I'm sure you were quite the sight."

She shifted to leaning against the bar, but kept her rough hand on Halia's thigh, and she certainly took advantage of the view afforded to her. "Now I have to tell an embarrassing story, don't I?" Without letting Halia respond, she started ...

"So, there was this noblewoman. Now this woman was quite arrogant and no friend to her servants, but her pay was quite good. She hired me to protect as she was moved to her summer estate. She should have hired more people. Along the road, we were attacked by a few peasants, three to be precise. Now, these weren't well armed or trained fighters, but there were three of them, and I was as good as by myself."

Alison took a deep breath before continuing, "I thought I should just strip them to teach them a lesson; apparently they thought the same of me. I managed to start to strip them, but didn't get past any undergarments before I myself was naked and disarmed. It wasn't long before the heiress was naked with me, and we were strung up from nearby trees in a rather compromising position."

The blonde girl felt a blush come to her face as she recounted her tale. "These trees were in full view of the road, so anyone passing by got quite the show. Now, it was a rather deserted road on the countryside, but we were left there for a few hours before the assailants cut us down. More people saw us than I would have liked. I'm not sure how much of a coincidence this is, but I was only wearing these boots." Alison mimicked Halia's behavior. (Un)fortunately, she was wearing pants, so her gesture didn't reveal anything.

"That about wraps up my story, and," Alison took a drink from her tankard and set it down on the bar, "it seems I am done with my drink. Any idea on what to do now?"

Halia, at the bar Empty Re: Halia, at the bar

Halia blushed a little more deeply when Alison made her comment about missing the match. She responded with a sheepish chuckle, twirling one of her pigtails in her fingers and looking aside shyly.

"It was sooo embarrassing. I can't look anyone in the eye who's seen me lose," she giggled. Whether she noticed or cared about the hand on her thigh, Alison couldn't quite tell. The girl was nearly done her drink, judging the way she kept tilting it way up with each swig.

When Alison offered her embarrassing story, her eyes seemed to dance a little and she couldn't help but show a little grin. "Mhmm?" she prompted. She would gasp or her eyes would widen a little at certain points in the tale. "She sounds awful..." or "they tied you up to a tree? What do you mean 'compromising position?'" she'd prompt, giggling occasionally in good humor.

At some point she shifted her thighs, one creamy limb sliding over the other as she kept her boots in the adjacent chair. There was another little glimpse of her unmentionables, very hard to see in the dim lighting, but she moved her legs slowly, such that Alison's hand didn't go anywhere.

She bit her lip as if imagining the sight of her in just boots.

"Ideas? Oh! Hmm..." she rolled her eyes before abruptly standing and stretching. "I dunno, I still have a lot of energy I could stand to burn. Alcohol has that effect on me..!" she laughed, downing the rest of her mug and leaving it on the bar with a clank. Very suddenly, she reached with both hands to wrap them around Alison's thigh and give it a squeeze.

"My... quite fit!" she said with a tiny hiccup. "How do you stay in such shape, anyways..?"

"She was indeed quite awful. And so far as the position goes," and Alison blushed even more now, "I was lucky enough to be the one facing away from the road, but I have had my face in more pleasurable places. Actually, it was pretty great for the heiress."

The blonde looked at Halia dreamily as she talked, before she replied, "My work is mainly what keeps me fit, but I do get some exercise when blowing off steam. I wouldn't mind relieving you of some of that energy." She ended her last comment with a seductive wink.

The girl was quite flushed and more than a little warm. Despite her innocent charm and coquettish, flighty demeanor, Halia currently seemed both excited and nervous at present.

A bit self consciously, she withdrew her hands from the warrior's thigh.

"Well, heh... What's something we can do that's, I dunno, active? Maybe you can show me some of that training that keeps you so... toned?" she offered sheepishly, toeing the ground with the tip of one of her boots. Once again in spite of her drunken flirtatiousness, she seemed genuinely innocent in that moment.
