Tracer “Spot” Trailbones, the Bounty Hunter
Name: Tracer “Spot” Trailbones
Race: Half-Kobold. Most half-kobolds resemble a human with a mix of canine features.
Face: Tracer’s most notable feature is her lack of a normal nose. Instead, she has the wet, black t-shaped nose of a dog. Though it gives her quite an advantage when hunting bounties, it’s very distinctive and often draws stares.
Tracer’s half-kobold heritage also causes her to grow hair in embarrassing places- one of which is her sideburns. If she doesn’t shave, she can grow a pretty impressive set of sandy brown mutton chops. Not that she’d want to.
Hair: Tracer’s hair is a mutt-mix of brown, white, and black streaks. She keeps it long enough to cover up her lack of normal human ears. Instead, she has two pointed dog-ears atop her head. Finally, poking out of the specially designed seat of her overalls is a long, spotted tail that’s constantly wagging in excitement, irritation or whatever she happens to be feeling at the moment. Again, these both draw a lot of stares.
Body Type: At 4’8,” Tracer is a pint-sized pup. Her high-pitched voice and insistent personality oftentimes gets her compared to a yipping dog than the lean, mean hunting machine she sees herself as. Don’t let her small stature fool you- she’s frighteningly strong and fast. Of course, she pays the price for that by being thin and lacking in the charm department. Not that she cares- no one wants to get involved with a half-kobold, anyway. And even if they did, they'd be too weirded out by all the hair and... other stuff.
Clothing: Tracer wears a pair of rugged overalls with pockets stuffed with all manner of useful devices and flyers about local criminals. The overalls are specially cut in the back and secured with buttons to allow her tail to poke out and wag freely. She wears a tank top underneath it- she gets quite hot at times with all the scruffy hair she can’t quite get rid of in all the most embarrassing places.
Bio: Abandoned as a baby, Tracer was adopted by a childless couple and raised on the edge of civilization. Growing up on the lawless side of the law, she was taught to value hard work and honesty over all else. After all, if you can’t trust your friends in the fields, you can’t expect to keep any of your harvest.
One fateful night, a thief broke into her family’s house and stole all the gold from the strongbox. Desperate to make sure her family didn’t starve over the winter, Tracer tracked the thief for days, not even stopping to sleep or eat. Eventually she caught up with the thief- who had been on horseback- and brought him to justice. Unfortunately he’d spent all of her family’s gold, but the bounty on his head was enough to repay it twice over.
With encouragement from her family, Tracer set out to make use of her talents to make the frontier a better, safer place.
Abilities:
Nose for Trouble: Tracer’s sense of smell is almost supernaturally strong. Once she’s got the scent, nothing can stop her.
Dogged Determination: Tracer has seemingly boundless energy. She seemingly never tires- she can run all day and still carry on a conversation as if she were standing still.
Puppy-dog eyes: Go on. Tell her “no.” It’ll be the hardest thing you ever do.

Tracer will be appearing in the Bounty Hunting missions. I doubt we'll get to see her in the arena unless there's a demand for it.

With all tracer's involvement, I's like to design her an avatar. Just haven't found the right way to go about it, yet. None of these seem quite right to me:

Nope. Not even close. Just a human face with a dog nose (no snout; just the nose) and dog ears.

Good, that might be more manageable...more Yvette's level of animal...how much of the surface has hair? OK, there's a fluffy tail, how much fur? Oh, now that I reread it, it seems like human-style body hair rather than dog fur; I can make that work.
Re: Tracer “Spot” Trailbones, the Bounty Hunter
Yes, it's roughly Yvette's level of cat, just dog. There are differences underneath her clothes, but we haven't gotten there yet.

I'd work on the nose. It just seems off a little. Also, the hair in extra places is downier and fluffier than normal human hair, sort of a cross between dog fur and human hair. It's tough, I know; sorry. Other than that, looks good.

My original dog nose was based on photos of dog noses, but I changed its shape a little based on cartoon dog girls. The hair is fluffier and less coarse now...
Re: Tracer “Spot” Trailbones, the Bounty Hunter
THERE IT IS! Throw in more mutt-mix color in the hair and you've got it!
