Solo (Mis)Adventure: Caterina's troubles.

Caterina blushed heavily at the thug's comment, and looked towards the ground shyly. Once the bandits were gone, the assassin started walking quickly to the inn, covering herself as best as she could with only her hands.

"Maledire," muttered when she saw the guards. Looking towards the ground while listening to the officer, Caterina nervously responded, "I was hoping to get back to the inn I'm staying at; it's been long, hard night." Caterina could only hope the guards took pity on her.

"Oh I'm sure it has." the captain said, stepping forward towards Caterina. "I'm sure you've got a wonderful excuse for why you're running around like this, too."

The captain gave a signal to her subordinates, and the other guards moved forward to stand at her sides. They seemed to be prepared if Caterina were to try to run or make a violent movement.

"Now, I don't know how the other captains handle their districts, but around here we have public decency laws to uphold." the captain explained. "Laws that don't look too kindly on tarts gallivanting about in their underwear in the dead of night. I'm gonna need you to come with us."

Caterina didn't see a way out of this predicament that didn't involve the officer letting her go, and being in custody of the police wasn't a great idea considering her line of work, so the assassin, somewhat ashamedly, started begging to be let go.

"Please, is that really necessary? I'm just a couple blocks from the inn I'm staying at, and when I get there I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to put on some clothes."

"It is the middle of the night, Captain." one of the guards said. "I mean, it's not like she's running around like this when there's people all over the place."

"Perhaps, but the law is the law, sergeant." the captain insisted. "And the law says what she's doing is illegal."

"Do we stop every person we see littering? Captain, you know this means paperwork, and our shift is almost over. Filling out forms would keep us over an hour longer than we need." the other guard said, coming to her colleague's aid.

"All the bureaucracy is a pain, true..." the captain muttered. "And... I suppose she isn't hurting anybody..."

For a moment it seemed as if Caterina might actually be able to walk away from this without any further trouble. Thankful for this small stroke of luck, the assassin heaved a great sigh of relief. Unfortunately, said sigh caused the blade hidden in her bra to shift...

With a soft pop, the bra split open as the blade cut the delicate garment. Bra and blade alike fell to the stone below, drawing the attention of the three guards and putting their discussion to an end.

"A concealed weapon, and now indecent exposure. There's no question now, ma'm. Come with us."

Caterina's spirits were uplifted until she heard the pop, then she looked down. Caterina was more disappointed than embarrassed at this point, but she was still embarrassed. Why can't anything go my way; it's almost as if there is a team of people who control everything trying to make sure I end up naked. These were Caterina's thoughts as she covered her breasts and submitted to her fate.

"Stupid paperwork..." one of the guards muttered as she stepped to Caterina, ready to cuff and transport the assassin.

"Stupid indeed." the captain agreed. "In fact, ladies, what do you say we cut out the middleman?"

"Captain?" one of the guards asked, surprised.

"The arena can always use more combatants. It's closer, tied to the justice system, and I know they have a way to circumvent the usual red tape." the captain explained, a small smile on her face.

The two subordinates seemed to like the captain's idea just as much, each smiling as they gently grabbed Caterina by the arms. Swiftly, the trio of guards began to escort the assassin, unaware of just how dangerous and wanted their prisoner was, to the infamous arena.

"So, streaker girl. How does it feel to know you're going to be giving the whole city a show?"

"Oh, merda," was Caterina could say when she heard the guards start talking about the arena. The assassin blushed profusely as she was escorted through the city with her breasts on full display, and now she was gonna have to be known to the city. Maybe, she'd get away with using a false identity.

On the bright side, it was night, and she managed to keep her panties for the time being, so she retained some amount of dignity. At least, until the arena match. And she would've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those meddling guards.

((A fairly entertaining solo adventure, if I do say so myself. It certainly gives a good frame story for how Caterina finds herself in the arena, at least.))

((Yeah, I was torn between wanting Caterina to escape and having her embarrassed as much as possible, but I am quite content with the end result.))

((Oh, plenty of time for greater embarrassment in the future. No worries on that front. Any ideas on who she'll face for her first match?))

((cerindclvr and I were talking, and, though I was thinking of using Jacqueline for that match, I'm sure Caterina would work well enough to face either Christie or Halia.))
