Adventure: Bandit Fortress!

Jacqueline started blushing and looked towards the ground. "Sorry."

Jamie held in a gasp as the spike burst from the ground, then stifled her sigh of relief when no harm came to any of them. At Velatha's command, the Redcap simply nodded, not wanting to make any unnecessary noise.

Christie's eyes widened ever so slightly at the spear, and with a little whisper and a gesture of her hand she raised an inch above the ground. Narrowing her eyes at the pressure plate, she decided to levitate slowly about a few inches off the ground, just high enough to avoid pressure plates and maybe even some low-strung tripwires. Bloody rogues and their crude traps...

"Well, this should make me a little quieter too," Christie chirped/whispered as she floated a few feet behind them all. "Anyone thirsty? I brought wine..." she almost tittered beneath her breath, producing a wine skin from beneath her cloak and offering it to Jamie with a little bump of her fist. "It's not an adventure without wine..." she continued, clearly excited and not quite convinced of the danger.

"Save the wine for when we've captured their leader." Velatha whispered, giving Christie's offer a polite wave of refusal. "A sweet drink for sweet victory. Now come on, and let's stick together here."

The adventurers continued on, leaving the sleeping bandits none the wiser. The hallway continued on once more, the doorways on the sides of the hall hanging open to reveal empty or collapsed rooms. Finally, as the end of the hall came into sight, the sounds of conversation could be heard.

There were three distinct voices, one with a booming laugh, and the others quieter and more subdued. A few words could be made out, even at this distance.

"...merchant goods, but... her other goods, if you know..." preceded another burst of laughter.

"Next time... some scrolls, I could..."

By now, the four were a few meters away from the end of the hall, the door hanging ajar allowing the conversation to be heard.

As the four women approached the door, a runic circle burst into view beneath their feet. The circle glowed with light, and a corresponding glow engulfed the adventurers! With the sound of tearing leather and cloth, the glow faded, and the four women could see that they hadn't made it through unharmed.

The three leather-clad adventurers had lost their tops, scraps of charred and torn leather littering the ground around them. Christie, meanwhile, seemed unharmed until one could glimpse below her cloak. The Grey Witch's signature gown was gone, ruined fabric pooled around her ankles.

Velatha's cheeks flushed red. "Shit. Magic traps..." the rogue muttered.

From beyond the door, a raised voice was heard. "What was that?"

"Sounded like my trap. We've got company, boss."

Jamie gasped as her leather jerkin shredded itself right before her eyes, the scraps landing lightly around her boots.  The Redcap girl frowned cutely as the others found themselves in a similar predicament. Seemed they'd all stumbled into a trap.

Though she had the courtesy not to say anything right then and there, a small part of her did find it a little vindicating that Velatha had been caught as well: The woman who'd been criticizing them from the start now had little ground to stand on, in that regard.  Her more mischievous side had to keep a grin from escaping.

"Look alive, girls.  Here they come." Jamie murmured, adopting what in her professional opinion looked like a fighting stance.  She hoped to at least get in a surprise attack against whoever first came through that door...

Putain magie, thought Jacqueline when she noticed she was a bit more exposed than before. Well, at least Velatha was hit, too.

Knowing combat was on its way, Jacqueline rolled to the side of the door and readied her knife.

((Cerin, you can feel free to put your next post in with your combat post. I just figured it might be a good idea to go ahead and get combat started here, as that's what the next GM post was largely going to be anyway.))

The door flew open, kicked by a booted foot. The owner of that foot was a tall woman, broad shouldered and with strong arms. Two women stood behind her, one in iron armor and the other in a filthy green robe.

"What have we here? Some girlies come to keep us company? Or maybe idiots thinkin' we'd be easy prey?" the center woman asked, smiling maliciously. "I'd ask your names, little idiots, but there'll be plenty of time to learn those once I've got you chained up."

The center woman, likely Cerise the Cruel herself, snapped her fingers, and the two women behind her stepped forward.

There she was: Cerise the Cruel, the one they were after. She was imposing, to be sure, standing a full head above Jamie, at least, and with a much thicker build. That armor was going to be hard to maneuver in, though. That much seemed obvious to the petite little Redcap.

"Oooooh, no. You're the one who's endin' up in chains today. You've got no chance against the likes of us." Jamie boasted, knowing she'd already been underestimated. She'd knock Cerise on her ass in no time flat. Besides, it was four-on-three. Jamie knew she had the upper hand.

"Ready or not, you great bampot." Jamie grinned. It didn't have quite the same oomph she'd hoped for, but she didn't want to shout and wake the guards next door. Regardless, she charged forward to meet Cerise head-on, confident that her allies would back her up right away.

At the last moment, however, Jamie dove forward into a slide, hoping to snake her way right between Cerise's sturdy legs. Whether or not she succeeded, the petite Redcap girl would spring to her feet and attempt to unfasten the straps keeping the bandit leader's breastplate together...

Attempt to tumble behind Cerise, then attack Cerise's iron breastplate ( Dex 8 )

Jamie: 1+3=4

Tumble Failed!

Jamie slid... and was stopped cold by Cerise's legs. The larger woman didn't so much as flinch, standing as firm as a wall as Jamie bumped against her legs in vain.

Acting quickly, Jamie hopped back up to her feet and continued with her plan. Cerise was heavily armored, and certainly imposing, but Jamie wasn't one to let that get to her.

Jamie: 2+3=5

Jamie's wrists were caught in a hard grip. Cerise, her hands firmly around her assailant's wrists, gave Jamie a cold smile.

"No chance, huh? Let's see how mouthy you are after I've had my way with you!" Cerise said, pushing Jamie back. With that, the bandit leader grabbed the vicious-looking axe on her hip and smiled with dark glee.

Jacqueline knew that as tough as Cerise was, a rogue could be just as threatening and harder to hit. A rogue would definitely be able to avoid a thief's attacks, so Jacqueline was glad she learned some magic.

As hard as Jacqueline tried to concentrate, she found her thoughts too fluid for the ice attack she wanted, so she attempted a directed line of conjured water towards the rogue's tunic.

The jet of water shot at the bandit rogue with surprising force. While the liquid wasn't going to be tearing the armor apart any time soon, the power of the stream was enough to snap some of the buckles that held it to the bandit's body.

The bandit, now soaked, fixed Jacqueline with an angry glare, drawing her curved dagger and pointing at the half-elf.

Meanwhile, Velatha eyed the one in robes. Magic was unpredictable and dangerous, and Velatha would feel a lot safer once the witch was taken care of.

Velatha: 7+3=10
Bandit Witch: 6+1=7
Successful Attack!

Velatha crouched low to the ground and made a beeline for the witch. Once she was close enough, Velatha grabbed the hem of the witch's robe with one hand and, with her dagger in the other, sliced straight upwards. In one fell swoop, the robe was cut open from top to bottom and slipped off the witch's shoulders into a heap on the ground.

"Don't get cocky, and we'll get out of this just fine." Velatha said, trying to advise her teammates.

Christie was mid-gulp when the glyph beneath their feet flared, her eyes went wide, and her dress erupted into tatters. Quickly, she swallowed her wine and glanced down to confirm that she was left in naught but a skimpy thong and sheer lacy bra beneath her cloak. Tugging the comically threadbare garment closed, her face twisted up in an angry little pout. When she put her hands beneath her cloak, the wineskin seemed to disappear, which was strange given that she'd brought no backpack or adventuring gear.

"Well, that was unexpected. I guess we have you to thank for that?" she asked sternly, pointing at the bandit witch with one accusing finger.

A single word in an arcane language and a wave of her hand send a thousand, tiny, moth-like creatures to form around the enemy witch in a cloud. The voracious little things would set about disintegrating the witch's pants quite swiftly.

The witch's eyes widened in shock at how quickly everything happened. First Velatha sliced her robe apart, and then Christie's summoned swarm set about her pants. Within mere seconds, the already tattered garment was completely gone, consumed by the swarm.

"AH! Damn it, they have a witch!" the bandit screamed, fixing Christie with a death glare. "Let me show you how a -real- witch fights!"

Cerise: 6+2=8
Jamie: 7+3=10

Cerise swung her axe at Jamie in a violent downward arc. The Redcap shifted to the side and the axe sailed harmlessly past her.

Bandit Rogue: 3+2=5
Jacqueline: 1+3=4
Critical Defense Failure!

The bandit rogue jumped at Jacqueline, her dagger grasped in both hands. The dagger caught the waist of Jacqueline's leather pants and cut the leather apart. The bandit's strike carried down Jacqueline's pants all the way down to the cuff. The ruined leather garment slipped off the half-elf's legs and crumpled to the floor.

Bandit Witch: 7+2=9

Attack Successful!

The bandit witch conjured flames in the palm of her hand, pointing it at Christie. A gout of flame erupted from the orb, catching the threadbare cloak and reducing it to cinders.

"Uh...feck." Jamie swore softly as her wrist was caught effortlessly by the bandit queen. That hadn't gone at all as planned. She could adjust, though. She could always adjust. Weaving deftly to one side as Cerise's axe sliced down at her, Jamie managed to avoid any sort of damage to her clothing. Good thing, too. That looked like it would have hurt. Cerise was too strong, and apparently just slightly too quick, to fight directly. Plus, with her wrist being grabbed like it was, it would be difficult for her to get away. In fact...that gave Jamie an idea...

"Oi, bampot! How'd you like to go for a trip?" the Redcap girl taunted, suddenly sweeping her leg right underneath Cerise's in an attempt to knock her flat on her back. With any luck, the weight of her breastplate would make the fall especially painful, and either way, she'd likely have to release her wrist if she wanted to remain standing.

Regardless of whether Cerise was tripped or not, Jamie's next move would be to sprint over to the bandit witch and dive for her shorts. Should she be successful, she'd tug the witch's shorts (and possibly her panties, if she were extremely lucky) down her legs in one firm yank.

Trip Cerise ( Dex 8 ), then attack Bandit Witch's shorts ( Str 8 )

Jamie: 6+3=9

Cerise hadn't been expecting Jamie's leg to catch her ankle, and the bandit leader released her hold on Jamie's wrist as she tried in vain to keep her balance. The large woman crashed to the ground in a heap, cursing all the while.

Content to leave Cerise alone for the moment, Jamie turned and lunged at the bandit witch.

Jamie: 4+3=7
Bandit Witch: 5+0=5

Jamie's hands closed around the bandit's shorts, and gravity did the rest. The witch shrieked as her simple grey panties came into view.

Slightly concerned for her health due to her sudden lack of armor, Jacqueline decided to attack an easier target. Cerise, being on the ground and all, seemed to be the best choice. Sprinting over as quickly as she could, Jacqueline started making fast cuts at the straps holding Cerise's breastplate up.

Jacqueline descended on the prone Cerise, her dagger dancing in her hand. The rogue's blade cut through Cerise's breastplate fastenings as if they were butter. The breastplate fell to pieces, its straps completely ruined, but Cerise herself completely unharmed.

Velatha, meanwhile, figured it was time the witch was put in a more compromising state.

Velatha: 9+3=12

Drawing her second dagger, Velatha sliced down the witch's sides, her blades slicing through the edges of her panties and sending the grey garment crumpling to the floor between her feet.

Deciding she should continue helping to disable the enemy witch, Christie surveyed the scene and began to gesture hastily in the motions of a spell.

"Yes, yes. A real witch, blah blah blah..." Christie mocked as she delved deep into her magical knowledge. She didn't know it was going to be a thin green disintegrating beam when she cast it, only that if it connected, the witch's tunic would be obliterated.

Christie: 9+4=13
Bandit Witch: 9+2=11

The bandit witch shrieked as Christie's ray struck her square in the chest. The green glow of the ray seemed to spread across the bandit's tunic before the garment began to disintegrate on the spot. Red faced and teetering between furious and mortified, the witch fixed Christie with a glare more venomous than before.

"Insolent woman! Let's see how you like this!"

Bandit Witch: 2+2=4
Christie: 9+4=13
Successful defense.

Whatever the bandit was attempting to do, all that happened was a fizzling of failed magic around Christie's figure. The bandit's eyes went wide as she saw her spell fail, and her blush quickly faded as her face paled.

Meanwhile, Cerise had pulled herself to her feet. The bandit leader was clearly unhappy about the destruction of her breastplate, and whirled around on Jacqueline with fire in her eyes.

Cerise: 3+2=5
Jacqueline: 3+0=3
Successful Attack.

The curved end of Cerise's axe hooked under the neckline of Jacqueline's top, pulling the fabric away from her body and slicing as it went. Once the swing was complete, the half-elf's top was destroyed, her lacy white bra on display for all to see.

The third bandit, meanwhile, assessed the situation. She wanted to get Jacqueline back for the damage to her tunic, but logic told her that it would be best to take care of the witch first. That magic the blonde beauty was slinging was no good.

Bandit Rogue: 9+2-2(Flurry of Blows)=9

The bandit rogue sprinted for Christie and, with her wicked dagger in her hand, set about slicing all around the Grey Witch like a whirlwind, blade flashing against cloth as she went.

"Alright, let's see how you bampots like THIS!!" Jamie roared, seeing her chance to turn the tides soundly in her side's favor. Christie had her hands full with the bandit rogue, and Jacqueline was currently facing down Cerise herself. The bandit witch, however, was currently defenseless and focusing her attention on someone who definitely wasn't Jamie.

As the Redcap girl shouted her battlecry, she reached out to grab the witch, intending on hefting her into the air and hurling her straight into Cerise' midsection. Whether or not she was successful (but particularly if she were), Jamie rubbed both hands together in rapid succession, creating a small burst of flames between them. The fire twisted into the shape of a spear, which she then loosed straight at Cerise's iron greaves.

Upon impact, the spear would hopefully destroy the greaves outright, and if the bandit witch had landed on top of (or next to) Cerise, she would no doubt be caught in the flames as well...

Lift and throw the Bandit Witch( Str 8 ), then Red Pike on Cerise' iron greaves ( Dex 8 )

Jamie: 2+3=5
Bandit Witch: 6+0=6
Throw failed.

Jamie wrapped her arms around the distracted witch, intending to throw her. Surprisingly, the barely-dressed bandit wrenched free of Jamie's grasp, pulling the Redcap's arms off her as she shoved away. Doing her best not to let this setback bother her too much, Jamie turned her attention to Cerise and conjured her signature Red Pike.

Jamie: 7+3=10
Cerise: 4+2=6
Successful Attack!

Jamie chucked her javelin, and the magical weapon flew true. The flaming spike connected, striking the bandit queen squarely in the ass and blasting her greaves with fire. The non-metal parts of the armor burned away, leaving the iron plates to clang to the ground around Cerise's feet. As if that wasn't enough, the fireball that resulted from the javelin's impact caught the back of Cerise's bra, burning it away and causing the garment to fall from her body.

Cerise reddened as her breasts came into view. Heavy looking things, topped with dark nipples and swaying back and forth as she jumped from the javelin's impact. The bandit leader scowled, holding her left arm over her chest as she hefted her axe up once more.

Jacqueline jumped away from the axe as quickly as she could, but she just wasn't quick enough. Realizing that her bra was now on full display, the thief started blushing and covering herself. She soon figured that the battle wasn't over yet, and that her friends, or, rather, her acquaintances, still needed her help.

Conjuring her seemingly infinite number of knives from seemingly nowhere, Jacqueline did what she could for the team. Cerise and the witch were still up and dangerous, but could easily be taken down. And, if they were, the rogue still seemed pretty well equipped.

Slice and Dice and Flurry of Blows against first Cerise's panties, then the witch's bra, then the rogue's tunic ( Dex 8 )

Just as before, Jacqueline's throwing knives sliced through the air, steel blurs in the dim torchlight. The first knife caught Cerise's panties at a downward angle, catching the crotch of the garment and pulling it down the bandit leader's legs. A shock of hair came into view, sitting above Cerise's lower lips. The woman known as Cerise the Cruel turned crimson, dropping her axe as her hands flew between her legs to shield her intimates.

The second knife sailed across the bandit witch's back, the tip of the blade catching the clasp of her bra and slicing it clean off. With a wail of defeat, the witch tried to hold her ruined bra to her body with one hand and shield her pussy with the other.

The third knife, however, was not so effective. The rogue, now the only foe left, jumped to the side and swatted the blade out of the air with her dagger. The weapon clattered to the floor before the bandit kicked it away. "Enough tricks from you!" she snarled.

Velatha: 8+3=11

"I quite like her tricks, thank you!" Velatha countered, slipping behind the bandit and slashing with her daggers. In the span of a few seconds, the bandit's leather tunic fell apart completely, exposing the red tunic beneath.
