The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
Here, GMs can post adventure hooks, as well as how many players they're looking for if they so choose. Players can then post which adventure they want to sign up for.
And, to start things off, here we go.
Bandits!
Adventurers are wanted to deal with a bandit menace. The roads leading to the city have been plagued by a pack of bandits in recent weeks. Merchant caravans and lone travelers alike have come under attack, having their possessions stolen before being abandoned on the road to fend for themselves.
A reward is being offered for any that can bring the bandits to justice. Their hideout, an abandoned fortress, is feared to be rife with traps, to make no mention of the ruthless bandits that call it home. While any defeated bandit sent to the city jails in shame is good news, their leader, Brianna the Cruel, is the true target.
Seeking 2-3 players.

I want in on this. The skills of Jacqueline will definitely be of use against common bandits.

Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
Alright, while I have work relatively soon and won't be able to post the adventure start until some time this evening, I think we should be able to get this going. I'll go ahead and throw my hat in with Velatha for this one, help form her personality and all that via play.
If we get another person willing to play before I get the introductory post written up, I'll go ahead and include them in this adventure as well.

Christie is down for this one. Getting into some adventure and making some profit couldn't hurt, and it might even jog her memory.

The Thieves' Revenge
This expedition is being headed by Jacqueline the Thief. She is, for her own reasons, vying to take down Dick Roman, a crime lord infamous for his unyielding security. Combat will be unavoidable, so combat specialists are requested. Anyone willing to help will of course be handsomely rewarded with renown, reputation, and, if you insist, gold.
Seeking 3-4 players
(Phantompen, I'm not sure how fighting a male character, a boss for example, would work, so I'm looking to you for guidance. Also, do you think it would be a good idea for me to use two characters on the same adventure (Jacqueline and her friend, I'll get her bio up soon)?

Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
Well, for a male character I suppose it would be the same as other non-female enemies. Basically... fight to the death/surrender? It certainly doesn't have to be gory by any means, but *shrug* Idunno. It's not really something that would come up too often, you know?
Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
Oh, also, for your question about two characters on the same adventure. Honestly, I'd say that's a question of how confident you feel in your ability to do so. One suggestion would be that if you do decide to do that, have them share their initiative spot in combat.
I do the same with enemies to simplify things. Cerise the Cruel, for example, had a different Dexterity stat from the rogue, and it's entirely possible all three bandits would have rolled differently. However, it simplified things to simply lump them together.

Well, Raine agreed to help out in the RP, so I'll go ahead and sign up as her.

I've been meaning to get the Thieves' Revenge up for a while, and I hope to get it up soon. Sorry for the wait.

Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
In a little while, there will be a call for adventurers abroad...it will envolve slavers, and *cough* pirates, and more, oh my!
It will be serious, but some of the companions are a bit odd...hilarity may or may not ensue. It may be heavily illustrated. Some of the pirates mighr bear uncanny resemblances to Catherine Zeta Jones (who had that great dress ripping swodfight in Zorro), Vanessa Hudgens, and/or Selena Gomez. The story has nothing to do with them, but the physical resemblances are purely intentional. So just a heads up for now.

Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
So, we can open up signups. There will be three, maybe four slots for characters on what might almost be called a "campaign" of at least two adventures. I promise, that in fantasy time, you can be home in time for your Arena battles and other adventures. It will begin shortly after the "Mercenaries" plot over in Alexia's corner of the tavern finishes. The working title can be, say, "Slaver Mages and the Pirates Who Enable Them."
I plan on illustrating it as we go along, as with the Mercenaries bit, which you can see over on http://myds6.deviantart.com/ under "Adventure: Mercenaries." You can also get a preview of some of the pirates you might encounter, having an aaarrrgument in the "Character Models" folder. If you like curvy girls in your Enferia, you'll love this, and if you don't, I tried to accommodate with some smaller bodies. I'll do my best getting your character down before we start, examples on the site already are Christie the Grey, Jamie the Redcap, Alexia, Rose of the North, and Raine. I basically take the written description and do what I can with the tools available to me. Usually the clothing is the hardest bit to get down, requiring some custom work, like Christie's white gown or Alexia's heraldic tabard (in the tavern section).
Expect high fantasy with some comic elements that don't make the entire story silly. I ran the mini adventure with just Phantompen and I out of Alexia's corner to make sure I had the GM mechanics working before undertaking a larger party. I wonder what will become of those mercenaries, provided the protagonists win--I have some ideas, but it's important to be flexible in such matters.
So far the party has a pair of fighter types (if Alexia decides to stay), and a weird commoner with uncontrollable magic type. So for the best balance, some mages and stealth types might be a good start, maybe another combat specialist...
So, three or four slots will open, depending how it looks once the Mercenaries portion is over, or at least half over.

Excellent, I'll get around to making her visual figure...if that sounds cool. Might take some trying with all the ears, but I think it will work out.
Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
Woot. I'm down. Might draft a "new" character for the adventure. Also, stay tuned for the adventure posting I'm going to list soon.

Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
My new character will almost certainly be "Iron" Ash from the Enferia stories I posted over on OCC originally. It shouldn't take me long to write up a profile for her sometime soon. I am looking forward to your adventure Myds!
Additionally, I still plan to run an adventure of some kind. I was hoping to check with everyone to see if there's some kind of ENF-charged adventure that hasn't been run yet but that people want to see. I have kicked around the idea of doing a long term series with an epic finish. However, I'd like to get a group of characters arranged for that first... Whether it ends up being the characters for which I run my first 'test' adventure or not, I do plan to run a sample adventure, you know, to make sure I can do it properly.
So yah. Please give me any adventure ideas if there's something you particularly want to play. I'll see if it's something I feel confident running!

Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
Hmm, my particular interest would involve occasionally combining ENF with messy stuff (Mud, bakeries, etc,) but maybe that's just me. Also, in another vague statement, very public ENF, with long-suffering characters who eventually get reversals that are the more sweet because of their buildup. Lots of trash talk, possibly long-term rivals acting out of a history, which could be built nearly from scratch in a campaign setting, or assumed to be there already and used as backstory. The two characters I have on the setup adventure over at Alexia's corner are my favorites, others could be developed. (Possibly interesting fact: Niniane was originally a hapless mage/diplomat representing a tyrannical magocracy in another story I had written. I recast her as somewhat more sympathetic for Enferia.)
An idea, maybe not a good one...is there an artifact that would be useful in the Arena? Do the characters quest for it in competing teams so they have more than the NPCs to worry about? Is it in the depths of a dungeon or maybe hidden in plain sight in a city "detective" case? Maybe the action is at a festival, faire or tournament of some sorts? Just semi-random ideas. I will go look up Ash and see what it would take to illustrate the character.

Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
Also, a preliminary mockup of Ash is on deviantart; I don't know if I got her right, the old stories don't have as much description gathered in one place, so there was more improvisation. No outfit yet, because I'm not sure what she wears on adventures, or just outside the arena battle she was in.
Gonna try to hotlink the images:
That worked! Now gotta check the ToS over there to make sure I'm allowed...lol.

Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
Amazing! Only things I would tweak -- maybe darken the hair a bit, to almost black? The style of the hair itself is excellent, and her build is quite nice. I'm not sure what it would involve to do this, but perhaps soften her face and/or make her eyes seem slightly larger to give her a more youthful look, say, age between 18-21 years.
However, in a word, I love it..!

OK, easy enough. I didn't know quite what to dress her in yet, I'll wait until I see the char writeup.

Re: The Job Board (Adventure sign ups)
Sorry if I went overboard making images, I've been excited about the project. This is currently cooler to me than other things on the internet. I really liked the stories since I first discovered them on writing dot com....and the RPG element makes it a little more unpredictable, which is always great.
